We have heard more than once that photographers often go out and hunt down a piece of furniture, buy it, and then have to figure out what to do with it after they finish their mini session marathons. All the effort of searching, carrying around, and then selling/storing the piece is time you could spend doing more or what you love (photography!) or editing. You should consider renting next time instead of buying furniture personally and here are some reasons why.
1. Convenience
What if you could just get to the location, pull out your camera, and start doing the thing you love most? Skip the setup, skip the styling and save time. When you rent; delivery and set up are typically included. They bring the vision and you capture it.
2. Accessories
Imagine having the full set up without tapping into your wallet. The furniture, the rug, the floral arrangement, and more... more often than not, you can strike a deal by going through a design and rentals company for a package versus buying all these items yourself.
3. Collaboration
Networking and collaborating with other local vendors is how we build this community and empower each other! Small businesses supporting other small businesses is a win-win in this situation. And you never know what one collaboration on a mini session marathon will lead to, the design and rentals company may become your go-to for weddings, birthdays, parties, and more!
So, when you start planning your Spring minis or Mother & Me minis in the near future, call a small locally owned business that offers design and rentals.
Margaret's Mill would love to be that convenient collaboration for you. We offer a variety of packages that include delivery, setup, and pickup. DM us on Instagram or fill out our form in the link tree for photographers, we can't wait to hear from you.
